Netball Court Specialists

The sport of Netball Court Specialists is a fast-paced, dynamic and high-impact game. As such, it requires a high level of agility and precise direction changes. These demands can place a significant amount of stress on feet, knees and hips. For this reason, it is essential to wear netball-specific shoes that offer good support and durability. Often, players will try to save money by purchasing running shoes but these may not be suitable and can damage the shoe. The best option is to buy a pair of dedicated netball shoes that have been designed and manufactured for the sport.

Netball Court Resurfacing: When and How to Do It

We were recently contracted to construct a new netball court and re-color coat the existing tennis courts at Charterhouse School in Surrey. Charterhouse is a leading independent school that combines academic excellence with the development of sporting talent across a range of sports. The construction of the netball court and re-color coating of the existing tennis courts will allow the school to continue to deliver outstanding sporting opportunities to pupils, especially at key stages in their educational journey.

The screening process is important for the sports physical therapist as it allows the identification of the predisposed athlete possessing intrinsic risk factors for noncontact knee ligament injury. These risk factors can be enhanced by the extrinsic environment, context or situation (see Figure 1). When these extrinsic risk factors interact with the intrinsic risk factor as a sufficient cause then the athlete becomes susceptible to injury and an injury event manifests.
